I've installed Windows 7 on my T61p, and I can't install the lastest Nvidia driver in order to play L4D. When I try to start the game now, I get a "could not create D3D device" error. When I run the Windows 7 driver installer, I get a "no compatible devices found" error.

    Help?

L4D has that issue even in Vista. I believe the fix is to set the launch parameters to a set resolution. Then after it launched change it to what you want. I think it something like - w 1280 - h 1024. You should be able to search for it.
