Just got an S10, with XP, and I will do a clean install of XP on a larger hard drive.

Out of curiosity, I might also install Win 7 as dual boot, in another partition.

I read somewhere though, that Win 7, other than the "starter edition" that comes on some netbooks, is not recommended for Atom-based netbooks, not enough juice for that OS.

Who here has tried Win7 on the S10? Does it run much slower than XP? Any problems with apps? Does any of the S10's hardware have problems with it?

Can one speed it up much by disabling unnecessary services? (While still keeping those needed to surf the net, print, etc.)

What about the hardware drivers? On the Lenovo site, if one goes to the drivers page for the s10, and chooses Windows 7 as the operating system, one sees the exact same list of drivers as one sees for XP. In fact, XP is in most of the driver's titles. Does all the hardware work in Win 7, with the Win XP drivers?

    Thanks for the info.
