Hi, the problem is that when you updated to 8.1, the wifi driver gets replaced by 15.10.0.12. You can't seem to rollback to 14.8.8.75 anymore.

Just go to Intels download site and get the latest driver, which fixes connection issues.

I have the same problem. Which version should I be using? The one on Lenovo's website is newer than the one on Intel.

You mention the Intel website. I have searched without success. PLEASE post the actual name (.exe or .sys) driver file you used. I am going crazy trying to get a wireless connection on my new Lenovo Ideapad G580GL-PDC running Win8.1. even when very close to my wifi modem. If I connect a cable, there are no problems getting into the web. I have found a driver on the Lenovo web site called Liteon,Cybertan 89wn03wb.exe and an Intel wireless driver iwlan0883264.exe but this is for win8 and the Lenovo G560, not G580. I haven't tried them as yet, waiting for your response first!! Many thanks. errolgreer.

I found a driver on Lenovo called 89wn07wb.exe which is supposed to be for Win8.1 64bit for my ideapad G580GL-pdc model number 20157, but although I got 4 bars signal strength - at the bottom of the taskbar, it would still not connect to the Internet. There must be some solution to this problem!
