As a legal owner of Windows Xp Pro, using these directions I was able to produce a Windows SP3 Clean install, but in this version I didn't integrate IE7.

Before I even began, I backed up my off-line activation, just in case. I also did a check to discover my serial number. Unfortunately, I forgot to back up my i386 files for future use, which I will need to restore from backup.

I had two complete seperate backups of all of my data BEFORE I began.

I did do the disk label thing, which may be important, so reading both guides may be important.

I reclaimed my 5GB of hard drive space : )
Because the install can be done clean, I am able to do virtualization under Linux : )
