Do Lenovo laptops have pre-installed Windows Vista into the HDD or come in a disc and install it yourself (when you order from the official site)?

Also, when you change HDDs, do you only need Windows Vista installed in order to use the laptop (make the laptop running. . .) or do you need additional components (if so, what?)?

Lenovo laptops have a hidden partition from where you would use to factory restore your computer. Lenovo also has a program called Rescue & Recovery which allows you to burn that hidden partition into bootable discs so that you have physical recovery discs.

When you change HDD's, all you need to do is clone your current HDD to the new one or you can use the recovery discs that you make to install a factory OS on the new HDD.
