I am trying to install drivers on a T61 with windows XP 64bit edition..but so far the two drivers i downloaded from lenovo site for xp has come up with "The contents of this file cannot be unpacked. The executable you are attempting to run has been corrupted. please obtain another copy and try again"
Is Xp 64bit not supported!!!!...if not i will be mad![]()

anyone got it on their t61?...need it reformatted for school tomorrow! lol

It's pretty well known that Microsoft did not offer much suport for XP64 and it apparently has bugs. Even Vista 64 is lacking for drivers for many common Windows 32 bit applications.

as far as support i dont know but i been using it on my desktop for almost 2 years...not a problem...runs alot smoother than 32bit as far as i can see but o well..i reinstall vista again

I know you're asking about XP, but I'm running Vista Enterprise x64 on my T61 without any problems. The only signed driver I've had problems finding is for my USB broadband modem.
Not to touch off any religious wars here, but if you need a 64-bit OS I'm curious that why you're running XP instead of Vista? I believe you'll find much better driver support for Vista.
Windows XP 64bit edition on T61?
