    Hi,

I was wondering if anyone here ever had this problem before. Sometimes (this has happened a couple times before) when I power-on my T61, i am brought to the screen where i am given the option to start in Safe Mode and my computer is telling me that I shut down improperly when I really didn't. Did this ever happen to anyone else here, and is it something that can be fixed?

    Thanks in advance.

Just a shot in the dark here, but it is possible that after you selected Start>Shutdown, you then closed the laptop BEFORE it actually finished shutting down, thereby putting it in standby/hibernate just before the shutdown command completed. As to a fix, I always wait to close my laptops until all the lights go out. :p Give it a try and let us know!
