    hi all,

    i am pretty certain that if i buy a laptop with- THE INTEL 2200bg card that i can easily swap that out for the ÍBM A/B/G card if purchased seperatly?

    Depends on the model, I think they're socketed except the X series.

    The T series were replaceable--what they called a "mini-PCI" card. Call Lenovo Tech Support for details.

    You can search for the service manuals. They will include the instructions, and also the possibility of upgrades.
    As mentioned the T series are replaceable.

    IBM supported what they sold.

    Time will tell regarding Lenovo, but unless they want to totally trash the name ("Thinkpad") that they paid a billion bucks for, I would presume so.
