    Wireless HELP

    after using the clean install guide provided by the site, i have been trying to use the wireless with no luck, the little light at the bottom of the screen is not illuminated, it wont even recognize wireless networks at starbucks , it seems like ive tried it all, can anyone help. it has the intel wireless card

    first of you should provide some more info on your notebook / model...

    if you have installed the correct drivers and the light still is not illuminted, you should check if the wlan is not turned off, by a switch. i remember my r60 had a switch at he front/bottom to switch wlan and bluetooth on. check if there is some "hard" switch or maybe a software to enable/disable your wlan.

    make sure:

    1) correct drivers are installed
    2) hard-wired switch is on (also make sure its on in the bios if you messed with it)
    3) hot keys driver is installed


    then while in windows hit FN+F5 and turn on your wifi radio
