I recently purchased the T61 and seem to be quite impressed with the build. With that said, I can't say the same for Windows Vista and the software that was included with the laptop. I'm actually having trouble connecting to the wireless router at home. The T61 can get a strong signal off the router, get an IP, it will send packets but can't receive any... I also find that I have a "limited connection". I have the Intel PRO/Wireless WiFi 4965AGN and a Linksys router. I highly doubt the T61 is out of whack as its brand new so it may be the router that is busted... or that Windows Vista is causing me problems... or I might have missed a step or screwed up. I've tried the search function but failed to find any results. Perhaps I'm not searching for the right terms but does anyone else have a similar or the same problem? And does anyone have any ideas or solutions? I'd really love to get internet to my T61.

    Did you look in Vista?
right click on the network icon in the taskbar (near the clock)>click on diagnose and repair.
    That will give some information.
Could be many things, but I'd start there.

I've run the diagnostics a couple of times but yield no helpful results. I've tried all the given solutions and still nothing worked. I'll list the solutions later tomorrow, perhaps that might help.

    Yes,
That would be helpful. The wireless router make&model would be good, along with any pertinent info, such as, did this just start? Were you ever able to connect to the net wirelessly? If so, did you recently change anything on the laptop, i.e. software? etc.

Ends up it was a crappy router set up that resulted in the inability to go on the internet. Thanks anyways!
