The Notebook Review forums were hosted by TechTarget, who shut down them down on January 31, 2022. This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    Wireless Radio problem on ad hoc

    For some reason when I join my friend's ad hoc network the wireless radio always turns off after being in his network for more than 3 minutes. The reason why we are not using LAN or playing online is because we are at a university and using their wifi... so we can't host games or set up a LAN. So ad hoc is the only way to go.
