    Hi All,

The wireless on my thinkpad R61i will stop functioning after 30mins to 60mins of use. The wireless LED turns off. The Access Connections tray icon with the incrementally higher bars show a red cross. However beyond that, the software seems to think that the wireless is powered on. The Fn+F5 wireless applet still has the status of wireless radio as being on and when the "Power Off" option is clicked the applet will hang. I've updated to the newest drivers and all and am still having the same problem. The only way to get wireless back on is to restart the system. What do you guys think is the problem?

    Regards
    Jeremy

I did recently have to install Cisco's VPN client to access WLAN at my uni. Could that have affected it?

I have an R61 w/t the 4965agn card using XP. I had similar problems at first, network just dropping etc... I uninstalled the Intel drivers and the Lenovo access junk and downloaded the latest driver/manager set from Intel's website and everything works fine now using the Intel ProSet Wireless manager instead of the Windows one.
