    Hi,

I thought I'd share my experiences with the installation of wireless USB in a X301.

I previously had a UWB module that was installed in my T61. I pulled this out when I sold my T61 and Ive decided to give it a test to see if it would work in my new X301. I had my reservations as the FRU for the UWB model for the T61 and X301 are different and was expecting a 1802/1804 error.

Anyway, the first photo shows a vacant half height mini pci express slot, with the UWB antenna connector present between the two ram slots.

The second photo shows the UWB module installed with some antenna re routing.

The third photo shows UWB present in the connection manager after the T61 UWB drivers have been installed.

Now, only if some UWB peripherals would come along.

Isn't Wireless USB (UWB) dead? I don't think anyone is driving it.
