I've been having some problems with my T61 wireless card lately (Intel 4965AGN). It's worked flawlessly since September until about 2 weeks ago. Several times it pretty much lost power or something, no led indicator, and the device would disappear from windows, but I've got it to come back. Today, however, it just doesn't want to work at all. No matter how many times I've rebooted, removed the battery, plugged in AC power, the indicator LED stays unlit and the device won't show up in windows.

I'm not sure what to do. Is there any chance that the mini-pci card is just loose and I can open up the keyboard and fix it? Or should I send it back to Lenovo under warranty? (which I really don't want to do because I need my laptop for class)

Me personally, I'd take a look at the card seating. Just don't break anything on your way in.

Yep, that's what I'd do. Well, first I'd boot into Linux and see if it recognized it.

I would also make sure I didn't hit that little switch on the front of the T61...

Try removing and updating your drivers.

Could be that one of your antenna wires has a lose contact.

I've had that happen to a Dell notebook before. Took it apart and attached the contact.

Success! I opened up the laptop to check out the wireless card, turns out a screw was loose. So I tightened that back up, made sure the card was seated well, and everything seems to be working fine now. Thanks everyone!

Nice! Well done! Next time be sure to not loosen your notebooks screws... ;)
