On the T43, there is integrated wireless. IBM then offers the following options. If it has integrated wireless, is there any need for any of the adapters below? I have a network at home that currently distributes cable modem internet throughout the house by using a router. Once I get the T43, I want to be able to wirelessly surf the web from anywhere in the house. (I will add a wireless router). Is there a need for any of the adapters below? Would the integrated wireless be good for b/g connection? Thanks.

I'd get the Intel 2200BG. It is unlikely you'll ever encounter an A network of the A/B/G network card, so I would not pay extra for it. The Sprint and Ericson cards are for cellular connections and wouldn't help you at home. Good Luck.

So I would need the Intel Pro/Wireless 2200BG Mini PCI Adapter.

Integrated wireless is not enough? Thanks.

Integrated wireless should work fine as long as it is BG.

You must be talking about the web site, which has a box for you to buy an adapter even if the machine already comes with wireless. So the answer is that you don't need to check the box -- you will get whatever wireless card is already installed in the notebook. They just have not configured their ordering system that well yet. For what it is worth, I am typing this on a machine that I ordered just that way, and yes it came with wireless.

As for ABG or BG, A is not a big deal -- don't worry at all if you have BG only. It will work fine.
