The wireless card of my t61 is: Wireless Type: Intel PRO/Wireless WiFi 4965AGN.
I go to the thinkpad drivers download page: http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site.wss/document.do?lndocid=MIGR-67853#Wireless
and under intel pro wireless, the driver says "not availible"...only the ThinkPad 802.11bg and 802.11abg wireless LAN Mini PCI adapter is availible for download...is there any other way i can properly install my wireless? Or another site? or can i just use the thinkpad 802.11 driver?
Thanks.

Try using Update Manager: http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site.wss/TVSU-UPDATE.html#DLP It should have all drivers you need plus some extra stuff. Hope it helps.

All the drivers for your machine should be located in the IBMTools folder.

i reinstalled vista so i have no ibmtools folder...i don't think? where should the ibm tools folder be? superpig i installed that update but my wireless is not showing up still...

Please see my thinkpad T61 vista clean install guide, it should help!

if you have the intel wireless card, you can get it from intel's website

If you wiped the drive without creating the recovery discs, it's gone now. They were still calling it the IBMTools folder on my R60, but perhaps they've changed in now that Lenovo is more in the forefront.
Wireless driver I need to install "not availible" on thinkpad website..
