Problem 1: Lenovo IdeaPead Y450. Every time I turn the computer off, the wireless settings change, such that I have to adjust it to connect to my wireless network when I turn the computer back on.

Problem 2: If I'm running the computer and plug in the power cord, the computer freezes for a few seconds. Sometimes, also makes a sort of crunching noise.

Are you using Windows or Lenovo software to configure your wireless? I've never had that problem with Windows software, so if you're using Lenovo's software maybe try uninstalling it and using Windows' built in wireless software.

Try updating your BIOS. Where is the crunching noise coming from? Is it similar to CPU whine?

This might sound stupid, but how do I do that? Looks like I am using Windows, rather than Lenovo, but Lenovo's software could still be interfering.

Not sure whether the BIOS updates are more recent than what was already on, but I gave it a shot.

Anyone know how to shut off the Lenovo-controlled wireless management?
