I'm about to pull the trigger. I have a 22% discount as a student, so I'm saving over $300 on my config as is. I have a 1TB go flex as is, but wondering if it's worth the upgrade.

If you aren't planning on using it, then no? (IE immediately swapping it out for an SSD, which you should do immediately :p). Unless you have massive drive requirements, I would put that somewhere else like an Intel WLAN card (ThinkPad ones are awful).

My ThinkPad card has never given me a lick of trouble.

If you've already got a 1TB drive, the best money you can spend is the mSATA SSD provided you don't need WWAN. You can probably get a 60GB drive for $75, though you will have to install it yourself.
