I called Lenovo about 10 days ago and canceled my order for a T61 explaining that I purchased one from PC Connection. My order was supposed to ship on May 30th.

Today, I get an email from them explaining that my order has been delayed from 1 to 30 days. So I went to order status and sure enough, it has NOT been canceled. I can't wait to call them again today.

I can't believe they would send out an email stating it's been delayed from 1 to 30 days... they sure narrowed that down... 1 to 30 days... geez give me break!

Yeah, if the order was properly canceled, it should show the following message:

Invalid Customer Number and/or Order Number.
Please verify that your customer number and order number have been entered correctly.

at the screen where you enter the customer and order number.

Yeh when you phone them up you yell at them... Don't just shout - yell. Or get someone who's done MOI to yell at them for you. I enjoyed yelling at this half price kitchen woman this morning who called. She said, "Have a nice day, sir," at the end of it all after ensisting that she call me sir and never phone back again.

    Sorted.

There is no point in yelling at these people. I wouldn't like it if I was yelled at and every time someone brings me negative experience I make sure they receive "proper" care......I had a customer lose $50,000+ business because of a few small steps I took after he made vulgar comments at me when it was not warranted (I will take it if I know it was my fault).....I will continue to do so because he is an a-hole and he will lose another $200,000+ by the end of the year (this should put his company to close down). I am not low in the chain, but then again I am not that high up in the chain. Because of this one guy, his company will close down......if he changed his ways and he was nice to ppl that he deals with at my company, he wouldn't be out of a job.
So think about that in the future when you are yelling at people with your personal information at their disposal. No matter what level they are at their work, they do not deserve to be yelled at for anything. People make mistakes and unless they intentionally did it (and got caught) they do not deserve degrading demeanor from anyone.

Yellling at people doesn't resolve anything. During business transactions you should always appear courteous and professional, if even you disagree with the other party. Afterwards when you are alone inside your car in the parking lot, you can yell all you want at top lung volumes to get out the stress...

I ordered May 10, received email about backorder and promptly emailed by cancellation back. No response. I also left voicemail for rep, no response. I then called main line, all lines down. So...

I purchased T61 8PM Wed and received it Thur Noon from PC Connection. Decent config, a few more bucks, but they put it on my doorstep in 12 hours.

Today, called Lenovo back, waited 25 minutes, was able to cancel original order and place an order for a 4 cell battery (two weeks out).

They're swamped due to demand, more than expected, my CS rep had 100 callers in queue. Plan all you want, do damage control, whatever, I said nothing personal, I needed notebook now, they have a great product, hang in there.
