    Folks,

Been using my T61 (non P) for 2 months now. I have no problem until I just noticed something. I know the video processor of this model is the nVidia Quadro NVS 140M with 128 ram. But after re-installing Windows XP Pro SP2, I noticed that the video ram size is now 512mb. Running GPU-Z shows that its still 128mb. Has anyone seen this issue before.

Its not a problem really as the laptop is stable for the purpose I am using in on (Powerbuilder and .Net development work).

    Thanks in advance...

Where did you find out that it went from 128MB to 512MB? Could it be that before it wasn't factoring in shared memory?

    It's shared memory.

If its shared memory, is there a way to disable it? I only have 3GB Ram and I do run virutal machines.
Btw, that is not VISTA, just a theme on XP....

Its probably using Nvidia's Turbocache; the GPU has discrete and shared memory. It will allocate the shared memory dynamically according to user needs, so if you need it for VMs, don't worry.
