Hi guys
I'm interested in the Lenovo X1 Carbon. Unfortunately it costs 2150 ($2831) here in Denmark. I can get it in Germany for 1399 ($1823) in the same setup:
Core i5-3427U (1.80GHz), 8GB RAM, 128GB
Unfortunately the keyboard is in German layout. That means the Danish Æ, Ø and Å keys are missing. And the CTRL will be named STRG etc.. I don't want that on such an expensive laptop.
I can have the Danish keyboard installed in Germany but it will cost 300. That's too much.
Is it possible to get spare keys? I guess I could take off the STRG and other weird named keys and buy the danish/english keys? Does Lenovo sell them individually, and are they expensive? I'm looking at buying about 5-10 keys.
I have tried calling the Danish Lenovo department but after the machine picked up I could hear someone pick it up and then just putting the telephone down, ending the call..
That's also one of the things that worries me about buying Lenovo: Poor service. I can read it everywhere on this forum![]()
I'm really in doubt now if it's even worth it. I'm running with an older T60 and I love it. Great keyboard and it has taken a lot of abuse, but it's dying.
From what I can read in here, the new X1 Carbon looks to be poorly made, lots of problems, poor service, poor screen choice (I want an IPS hi-res).. Is it worth all the trouble getting one?
Thanks in advance!!
