Firstly Digital River are horrendous at communication, the reason it took so long was the factory were waiting for parts, no effort was taken to inform me of the delay. While I understand supply issues, lack of communication is not acceptable. Was going to cancel on the 9th June, but it turned up in the afternoon.

Build quality on the whole is excellent, no flex or bend feels solid, the power button feels like it won't last long. There is more travel on the left hand edge of it that the right.

Keyboard - excellent (never used thinkpad keyboards before) comfortable to type on, layout took a bit of getting used to but not the end of the world. Fn row - like adaptive row, found them responsive and easy to get the hang of, more a gimmick than actually useful.

track point and track pad - personally I liked them. responsive and accurate. no dead spots although found the scrolling a bit quick out of the box, fine when toned down.

Screen - looks good, windows scaling is an issue, but screen is good. There is a screen protector on out of factory, yes it does effect clarity/colour but you need your face about 2 inches from the screen.

Battery Life - 6 hours surfing internet and about 2-2.5 watching BBC iplayer/4OD, quick charge is excellent. Excellent tiny PSU brilliant for travelling.

Annoyed no NFC, not even when you customise the build, yet buy one from reseller and its there as standard.

vents - odd placement of the vent underneath placed where you would rest it on your right leg, so you cover it up and gets it nice and hot. Fan is incredibly quiet though.

I would love to love this laptop, but the so so power button and no NFC (no SD card slot so needed NFC as my camera has it built in, I assumed it came as standard as paying best part of £2k) make this one expensive laptop that I can't really justify, especially as the Asus UX301LA I've just ordered with the following spec comes in at £1600.
