Hi All:
I was able to to to the Sony Store on Madison and 56th Street to see the Sony Z 2012 and touch and play with it a bit, this allows one to get a feel for its build quality.
May I know where one might be able to see the Lenovo X1 Carbon? It is coming out anyday now, likely around August 14th to August 21st, so some retailer MUST have it in this great city, right? Someone in Manhattan must have it on display, right?
Once upon a time, RCS on Madison and 55th Street would typically have this type of Thinkpad on display, but RCS closed.
There's no Lenovo store in NYC.
Now what? Does it mean that buyers have nowhere to go touch and get feel for this machine until they order it shipped from the Lenovo website?
Thanks in advance.

That's why apple have great sales. Not only you have a store too look and play with devices, they also force you to touch it and spend some time once you are in the store.
I'm joining to this question. Was always wondering where to see thinkpads in City.
I hope B&H or J&R will get X1C in store. -
If I still lived there I'd have offered to show the test unit I have to you
. But that was a few years ago. I'd say best bet is J&R or B&H as demon_xxi suggested. I find B&H to have the most helpful reps and they might be able to inform you if they'll be getting it. Too bad you didn't know about the X1 reveal they did last week at the Met (I think), you could have crashed the party to see a few dozen X1 Carbons on display.
X1 Carbon Display Model: NYC/Manhattan, where?
