I received my X1 Carbon today, here is a summary of my impressions:

    Pros:
    - Nice overall look and feel
    - Good overall performance
    - Keyboard
    - Screen

    Cons:
    - Pre-installed software
    - No SIM card, WWAN doesn't support Verizon 3G
    - Power brick is heavy (to support rapid charge I presume)

    Embarrassing:
    - Clickpad is loose and wobbles around, click on works in the very center. Video. Picture.

Looks like the clickpad is broken, I'm assuming you'll be sending back? For the pre-installed software cons, can't say I had a problem with that as many ThinkVantage utilities are useful enough. The downside was the amount of space they take up on an already limited drive size. I agree that the power brick is a disappointment and would like to have seen something smaller and more "ultraadapter" like to fit an Ultrabook. It only weighs a couple ounces less than the T430 brick.
