In a 14" machine I really need 1366x768, at least in Windows because scaling doesn't work as well as OSX. I know that you can bump up the DPI in Windows, but as a web designer and developer I really need need to stick with native resolution. Also just for browsing and reading, I really can't handle these high-res screens on small notebook displays. I recently bought a 17" 1080p notebook, but the resolution just didn't work for me.
I noticed that online (for United States), the X1C only comes with 1600x900 resolution... but in other countries there's a 1366x768 option. Am I screwed or would Lenovo be able to build me a computer that would work?

Beside the T430s, there is also the T430u as an option for a machine with HD.

Alternatively, for much less expense, you could just stick with the previous-generation Thinkpad X1 (available for cheap in the Lenovo Outlet, when you happen on the good deals). Its main flaw was the 1366x768 display.

The original X1 is built like a tank.
X1 Carbon with 1366x768 screen?
