I'm set on buying an WQHD i5, but whether I go with OLED or IPS is going to depend on one question - does the OLED screen reduce battery life in comparison to the IPS?
So - does anyone have the OLED with an i5? How's the battery life?
-
I think the X1 with OLED is kind of rare bird since they're on the expensive side and the OLED LCDs were in short supply for a while. Six to eight hours is what I'm seeing in the reviews.

Yes, re: the reviews - the OLED models reviewed are all i7 models. I want to specifically know about i5 models with the OLED.
With the i7, the OLED and IPS had similar battery life. -
I have one with a 7300U and I am getting right about 6-6.5 hours of normal usage with the screen at 50% brightness.

OLED power draw varies a lot depending on your content. Shouldn't be any worse than the LCD counterpart under most use cases though.
