    Hi all,

    I am a proud owner of X1 with an i7 2640 & 160GB SSD drive
    (SSDSA2BW160G3L)
I know this drive is 320 series by intel which is 3gb\s max speed.

Can i upgrade to 6gb\s drive? does the motherboard support such thing?
Would it make any sense? would a 6gb\s have better results on this board?

I searched online but couldnt find anything

    Thanks in advanced....

Yeah your board supports sata 3, the dif between sata 2 and sata 3 for non read/write intensive tasks is hardly noticeable but you should still get a sata 3 ssd because they are cheap(er) now and because sata 3 sounds cool.

And because the Samsung Series 830 256GB 7mm SSD is cool.
