I've got a Samsung SyncMaster 2333HD hooked up to my X100e. Catalyst and 2333HD drivers are installed. Problem: I can't get my native resolution set on my external monitor. Windows thinks it's set, but the monitor is stuck at another resolution.
Below, the resolution is what I set it to in Windows, second reslolution is what the monitor is actually set to:
800x600 = 800x600
1024x768 = 1024x768
1280x800 = 1280x800
1280x960 = 1280x960
1280x1024 = 1280x1024
1440x900 = 1600x900 <--wrong
1600x1200 = 1600x1200
1680x1050 = 1680x1050
1920x1080 = 1680x1050 <--wrong
At the last resolution setting (the native resolution of my monitor), the desktop itself is 1920x1080 but the display thinks it's still at 1680x1050 which causing the picture to be stretched down and to the left.
I've tried forcing resolutions in Catalyst, I've tried reinstalling drivers, I've even tried a fresh install of Windows 7 Pro x64. I'm convinced the issue is with my video card misreading my monitors EDID info- I've never had this problem on any other laptop, netbook, or desktop that has used this monitor in the past.
I'm not sure what to do next. Any suggestions?

Update:
I tried installing an EDID override inf taken from my Eee PC 900HA (which can correctly detect and set the monitor to 1920x1080) and apply it to my monitor on my X100e, but no luck. -
did you try to update the bios?

I've tried the following:
Install Samsung monitor driver.
Force resolution through CCC.
Try various refresh rates.
Set CCC to ignore EDID.
Install latest ATI driver from Lenovo's site.
Install latest ATI driver from ATI.
Install Lenovo LCD driver.
Manually install Samsung monitor driver.
Format and reinstall Windows 7 Pro x64.
Repeat all above steps (plus all other drivers from Lenovo's site).
Apply EDID override .INF taken from 900HA.
Reformat again.
Install all drivers from Lenovo's site.
Install Samsung monitor driver.
Update BIOS.
I've exhausted all remedies I can think of. Anything else I may have missed? -
Just called Lenovo support... no help there. They are saying it's the monitor.
The x100e works on my other Dell monitor, but that monitor isn't a 1080 display. But other laptops and desktops work just fine on the Samsung.
