I know the sign with the Helix said Gorilla Glass, but the X1C-T didn't.

@BluePixel: Good question, I was meaning to ask the same question.

@JaneL: pardon me, but I'am unable to understand and derived any information from your post. what sign are you referring to? how does that relates to Helix?

so is there any reference that says/states that the X1C-T uses gorilla glass?

do they even use glass? is it scratch resistance kind? How scratch resistant is it? should I be worry about scratching the screen?

Are you guys aware of this post (below) from lenovo forum? According to the post, the X1C-T has a plastic sheet covering the screen.
X1 C Touch: Screen - protective plastic sheet af... - Lenovo Community

Which raises the question (that I post there)....

What is the function of this screen plastic sheet cover? Anti-Glare? Screen Protection?

    How scratch resistant is it?

If it do scratches; is it replaceable?

Is it easy to do (easy to remove/apply)? user-replaceable or service-tech replaceable? on-site or depot?

It's not Gorilla Glass. The "plastic cover" is the same matte finish that's on other ThinkPads, and, like them, if you scratch it, you replace the screen. It isn't supposed to come off.

Thanks for the replies. It seems logical to conclude the screen is not Gorilla Glass. Wish I understood if the display was made of a similar material (in terms of robustness).

I guess I should consider carrying a screen cloth over the keyboard. I'm concerned about getting the screen scratched.

    Thoughts?

whether it is made by gorilla glass or not, the surface contact layer is this "plastic sheet cover".

i'm very disappointed in lenovo for providing sub-par product that deviate from the thinkpad brand lately...
