    Hello,

I just installed Win 8.1 on my X200 an now there is no sound from the internal speaker. As this problem occurs with either the default audio-driver as with the „Conexant 20561 SmartAudio HD driver“, which i installed via windows update, and the internal speaker worked fine under Windows 7, this must be an misconfiguration issue. (The internal speaker is set as the default output option).

    Any ideas?

    Thx for looking!

I had audio drivers with my personal x201t that I was able to resolve by downloading from lenovos website. If you haven't already done so go there and download it directly from them, this appears to be a 8.1 issue with some sound chipsets.
