My X200 has been showing artifacts lately. Sometimes when I open Minesweeper, it shows a lot of artifacts in the application, but only in that specific window. And 2 minutes ago, it did the same when I opened Outlook. The artifacts went away when I minimized and maximized the window.
It's not the biggest problem in the world, but it's increasing in frequency, and sometimes things like this are warnings of worse things to come.
any suggestions? Again, this is not a video codec issue. I am running on updated drivers from System Update, and Windows Vista Home Premium.

Can you monitor your temps, especially the integrated Intel GPU? Artifacts usually occur when the GPU starts to go bad. Strange though, since the integrated GPUs usually generate less heat than the discrete ones.

I installed different temperature monitors, but none of them can read a temperature on the GPU, so I guess it doesn't have a sensor. It also happened right after I turned it on, so weird if heat is the issue.
I guess I'll just wait it out a little bit, and see if new drivers will fix it. -

Can't think of what else it could be. I have the X200 and can tell you it runs very very cool.
