I noticed this problem while I was trying to connect an external DVD drive on device manager. Do you know what might be the cause of the problem and is there a fix for this? Thanks!

did you by chance disable the intelppm services in the registry to force your SSD to run at full speed?
-
I switched the registry from 3 to 4. Would that be a problem? I switched another registry as welll (followed the SSD tweak thread).
-
Could anyone help me out? I'm still stuck w/o a solution..
-
If you do the registry tweak that's the way it is as far as I know.
-
So there would not be a problem though right?
-
Have you had any problems?
-
Nope. I don't think I had any problem since the changes were made. I'm just worried because of this warning symbols shown on device manager.
-
If battery life/power consumption/overall performance feels right, I wouldn't worry.
-
I reverted it back to default setting and it seems fine now. I guess I will try the other option when I have some time to review carefully. Thanks!

that's what happens when services are disabled. device manager exists as a tool to relay when devices are disabled, not installed, or fail to start.
this is perfectly normal.
the only solution is to re-enable the services or leave them disabled and not worry about it.
