Ok I am at a loss ... I thought the X200 came with 2 screen options, namely the 1280 x 800 CCFL with webcam or the 1440 x 900 LED option more common on the X200s in the USA.
Now browsing the UK Lenovo site I find an X200 with the following:
12.1" WXGA LED Panel, 2x2 UltraConnect II antenna; with Camera and Wireless Broadband Upgradeable.
This is from Lenovo's site and I don't think I have ever seen a 1280 X 800 Panel that is a LED panel on the X200 ... If that is true it may be a good option...
Of course it may have been available in the USA all this time but hey... in fact I cannot find it on the Lenovo USA site ? A slip uo from Lenovo UK ?
Anyone ?
The model number there is 7454

As far as I know the X200 was never offered in WXGA+ resolution. The X200s is. As for the model numbers, look in the tabook.

I see two WXGA displays in the tabook:

All sorted very good ... I think I may get myself an X200 with that 1280 x 800 LED screen. Though it's both 200 nits I think the LED may look nicer than the CCFL or at least have better battery ?

Don't know if I can perfectly answer that last question, but I was holding onto a friend's x200 with LED panel for last several weeks. Pretty bright screen, very clear. I had to turn it down a few notches to prevent eyes from tiring out. Indeed LED backlight is supposed to offer better battery life.

Thank you Malos ... I think I have all the answers ... now I need to find the right price. LED and 1280 x 800 resolution is fine for the 12 inch screen, get a fast chip etc ...and we're done. I think the 6 cell is about 3.5 pounds (1.48 kg), a bit too heavy to my liking but I cannot see any other machine I would want, apart from the X200s but that may be quite a bit slower with the slower CPU and the 5400 rpm HDD. If I can get all this for about 1,100 pounds I will be happy ... the search begins LOL.
