Updating drivers
at the hotkeys driver to enable vol control/brightness etc hot keys
It needs me to put in its product code
The sticker on the bottom is missing and Lenovo's little web base prog to tell you only works on window up to XP

I think only certain x200 come with Windows 7. Majority is Vista/XP. Does it have a recovery partition.

newp, the X200 came with vista when it 1st came out, with xp downgradability

here is all the relevant drivers.
Can you explain a little more about the problem you are having, so the software won't install. What do you mean you have to input the product code?
Does your bios menu show the model and serial no. of the machine?
P.S. only the later model of the X200 came with windows 7. -
Yeah I did a reinstall couple of times and never got asked any product code(?). The link that lead_org gave you is what I used.

my hotkeys would work, except the mute button, it would mute, but not unmute, you had to hit volume
Now it works and I get on screen data showing me the levels for vol and bright
