    Hi all,

I notice that Lenovo lists 2 display port adapters on their website that are compatible with the X200 Ultrabase. Is it necessary to buy those adapters since they are quite expensive? The computer lab at my university has a bunch of display port adapters laying around so I want to see if they can work with the ultrabase. Also, how do you enable the display port on the Ultrabase since I didn't see any option for that in Intel GMA settings?

    Thank you,
    Phuc

You need the full size displayport to dvi adapter, you can't use the mini-Displayport to DVI adapter.

you don't need to enable it, once you plug in the monitor into the displayport it will be detected by the windows display property.

Thank you for your reply, lead_org. I have tried a couple of Display Port adapters at my school but none of them works. I even used one that is currently connect to a desktop on it but still, nothing shows on the monitor. When I checked the Intel GMA settings, it doesn't recognize the external monitor either. Any thoughts?

okay lets do this, go into your bios menu, under display select displayport as the main display for the device bootup.
