This is probably a noob question but if I get the AT&T option, I'm assuming it has a sim card slot. Can I put a T-mobile sim in there and use edge? Is it like cell phones where the phone is locked to AT&T? Thanks

might want to ask t-mo. i know they use diff frequency ranges which may pose an issue, even if the AT&T card works wit another SIM..

The card is supposed to be unlocked, and should work with a SIM from T-Mobile, Vodafone, et. al. The SIM slot is located underneath the battery and is easily swapped out. However I would try and verify first. I still haven't test the AT&T card in my x200 Tablet, I bought it to be future proof but don't currently have a data plan for it.
