    Doing this upgrade just bricked my X200s... it goes into the BIOS POST screen but doesn't boot off any device (hard drive, DVD-ROM) :(

    Are you serious? I'm going to get my X200s this month and the first thing I was going to do before my clean install was to update the BIOS. Can you unbrick it??

    Not yet. It won't boot off hard drive or DVD-ROM so I can't restore it to a previous firmware version.

    BIOS 2.06 works fine though.

    No discredit to the ThinkPad machines, this was a faulty firmware that should not have been released. Maybe installing BIOS upgrades the day it was released is not a good idea :p

    I'm interested in the ConstantSecure Remote Disable feature, but it looks like it only works if you have WWAN. I wonder how it will receive the code if you have TPM enabled or BIOS boot password and the thief cannot boot the system to download the secret SMS you've sent. Anyone know?

    just to summarize:

    BIOS 3.01 wont boot your X200/X200s if you have

    1) "Config->CPU->VT-d" enabled, and
    2) "Security->Security Chip->Intel TXT" disabled

    all other combinations of settings seem to be OK.
