    Hi,

I got my x200 3 weeks ago but after trying the pre-installed Vista Premium, I decide to switch back to WinXP. I want to know if I can delete the partition of Service003 (S drive) when I install XPsp3 pro. My plan is to repartition 160G HDD into 2 partitions: 40G OS + 120G DATA. I would also like to know why Vista displays another HDD which is 1.37GB.

    thx all

You probably 'can' get rid of the service partition, but I wouldn't recommend it. The 'S' drive contains some drivers for your Thinkpad, and is required to make the Blue Thinkvantage button work at boot. I kept the 'S' drive on mine when I transitioned to a tri-boot environment. You can probably shrink it using diskdruid, but you will only save about 600MB, so why bother.
