Anyone else experiences the fan is literally always on, regardless of the chosen power plan/settings?
Right now CPU is at 25-26 C, and I can still hear the fan rumbling. I thought it may be the new BIOS that I flashed (since ThinkVantage suggested it) but now I flashed 1 version back (no idea what was the BIOS that came with it, any leads?) and it's the same problem. I don't remember it being always on the first day I got it.
Any suggestions?
I'd prefer not to install an external fan control software.

nope i don't have this problem running vista, win 7 or xp on either of my two X200. What bios firmware version are you using? you can check it under the BIOS menu.

I tried 3 versions:
The latest: 3.15 BIOS / 1.06 ECP
Original: 3.11 BIOS / 1.06 ECP (I think it came with this one)
Older one: 3.10 BIOS / 1.04 ECP
and no luck.Which one are you using?

3.14 on both of them.

Tried 3.14, didn't help either... Trying Win7 reinstall now... no idea what else. Laptop doesn't seem warm anywhere.
EDIT: Windows Install just restarted superfast (SSD FTW?) and the fan went off! Ah the blessed silence! Yay
EDIT2: Oh and thanks for help ofc!
X200 fan always on
