Guys I have a couple of questions about the X200.

I think I'm going to be getting a used X200.

I want to upgrade the WiFi 5100 to a 5300 card (pretty cheap on ebay). I noticed that the 5100 uses 2 antennae, whereas the 5300 has connections for 3. Will the X200 with the 5100 in it have an unused antenna cable that I can plug into the third slot of the 5300?

Second question is the hard disk drive...I have a 2.5" 7200RPM 320GB disk that I wanted to put in there, but just realized that the X200 might only accept 1.8" drives. Anybody know if I can get a 2.5" in there?

    Thanks!
    RA

You can use a 2.5 drive. It uses standard drives but just has an adapter for the 1.8" ssds that some of us got. Also I am not sure about you upgrading the wifi, and I am not sure it is at all beneficial. We have not see too much discussion over objective performance testing. Most everyone is perfectly happy with the 5100 though.

Sounds good, thanks. I guess I'll try out the 5100 and if it works for me then great. Ebay does have the 5300 cards for just $25 shipped, I thought it was cheap enough to upgrade just for the heck of it. Thinking of adding a bluetooth module to it as well, thanks to your guide jaredy!

Yup. The BT module can be had for pretty cheap and I find that to be more of a must upgrade if you were to pick that vs the 5300.

How about the WWAN card? I might be interested in the Verizon 3G card offered for the X200. Anybody have a part number or a link to where it can be purchased?
