Hi am about to get my X200s ... does this come with the usual 3 prong adapter? And if so does Lenovo offer 2 prong as well ? I travel to areas where there are plugs that are 2 prong ... 3 prong ones do not fit ... please advice

Correction: mine *did* come with a 2 prong. I have various adapters and did fine a 3 prong, but all "new" ones are 2 prong.

My Thinkpad T500 came with a 2-prong. I haven't seen a single Thinkpad in the U.S. that has a 3-prong AC adapter, so I'm rather surprised that flynn337 has one.

My second adapter uses a 3-prong, but the one that came with my T400 is only two.

Both of mine are two prong (polarized so one blade is slightly wider than the other).

i've seen literally thousands of them in the US.   all thinkpads made from 1992 until about 2000 came with 3-pin adapters. :D

with current models, systems sold in the US should have a two-pin adapter (but mixups do occur).   you can see which X200 model numbers are supposed to come with two- and three-pin adapters here.

Well my T400 has a 3 prong and the T61 as well, not handy for me for where I travel but will ask the Lenovo dealer if he can get a 2 prong US one ... shame it does not fit the standard figure 8 2-hole connection to the adapter with a simple 2 prong into the wall ... now I read the X201 is on the way...this usually happens whenever I up-date the next up-date is not far away ! Mind you having seen the exorbitant pricing of the T410 (about 70% more than the T400!) in Europe it's not like I would get an X201. Mind you ... that touchpad rumour !!!
