I'm looking for an X200 at the moment and have found a great deal on EBay.

The only problem is that it comes with a CCFL Screen.

Does anyone know how this compares to the LED version?...

    Regards,
    Matt.

Interesting, I didn't think the X200 came with an LED option. I find the CCFL very nice. It's 200 nits which is adequate for most settings, other than in bright light outdoors.

It's plenty bright. There's nothing magical about LED screens. It's a big marketing ploy. While they are a bit brighter and offer a little longer battery life, they do not enhance image quality and have the same crappy viewing angles as the CFFL panels. If you want a good panel, look at the X200t.

X200 doesn't have a LED version. X200s has LED version.

I agree with ZaZ, I have a T61 with a CCFL screen and a Dell E6400 with the LED screen. The only difference I see is with the brightness. The image quality and the colors look the same to me. I actually found the brightness of the LED to be annoying and I had to turn down the brightness on it.

    My CCFL is decent.
I wish Lenovo would put better screens that are comparable to the Macs and Vaios. Nothing's perfect though.
