This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    Need you help on that one. How do I get my desktop to look the same (icons at the right place) when I am on the go from my dock. My external monitor is a 1680 by 1050 and the x200 is 1280 by 800.

    you just need to clone the desktop you can do that with the Thinkvantage presentation director (i.e. Fn + F7), however, since the screens are of 2 different resolution.... your external monitor image will be fuzzy.
