When I press the space between F12 and Delete and the area around, its flexible.
But its firm when pressing between f4 and f5.
Anyone have the same problem with me?
    Thanks

    At least one
I removed it and tried to bend it slightly, but to little avail.

Why are you pressing on it? Are you having a problem with the F12 and Delete keys?

    Hi,

I don't own a X200s yet. However, when I was demoing one at a local store, I did notice two areas of interest on the keyboard.

The ESC key made a clicking noise when depressed. None of the other keys made this noise. And I think I read something about it on one of the other forums.

And there seemed to be some flex near the F12 keys. But nothing too serious. I wouldn't think you'd notice it very much in day to day use.

The unit was assembled in February, 2009, so I'm hoping this problem has been resolved by now. When was your unit purchased?

no problem with f12 and delete key, but Im just wondering is it normal or not.
All the keys on my keyboard are making same noise, so I think the one you looked was broken.

My ecs key on my x200 makes a little click when pressed (hitting), but no other keys are flexing THAT much. There are some areas above the hard drive slot that exhibit less than solid presses though but nothing that impacts regular typing.

My X200s top right corner flexes quite a bit, I have written about this previously. My violent right pinky smashes down on those keys and they feel like crap, especially backspace. Other than that it's the best laptop I have owned by a long shot :)

I hope it was the case where the unit I demoed was defective. I'd expect more from a Lenovo keyboard. Plus, by now, I would have hoped that they would have resolved it.

I get mine in a week or two, and I hope there wont be any problems with it :)

There's always gonna be flex on any laptop, yes, there may be a few perfect ones but flex will always be present. Besides, it's usually not apparent unless you actively look for it, I doubt it will hinder your typing ability.
