I'm about to buy a WWAN module for my X200s, checked Lenovo website and found 2 models listed on the Australian site: 43R9153 ( http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site.wss/MIGR-70333.html) & 57Y2620 ( http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site.wss/pageRedirect.do/MIGR-73756.html). I talked to their technical support staff and was told that 43R9153 is specific for Vodafone network and 57Y2620 is for Telstra network and not Bigpond. There is no guarantee that these 2 cards will work with other network than that specified by them. I'm new to Mobile Broadband and not sure which one to go with so I don't want to be locked in by the card that I buy. Which one should I buy?

If I were you the first thing I would do is confirm that your x200s is WWAN upgradeable. Does it have the antennae already installed?

I have no idea actually since I've never used mobile broadband before. I think I'll start of with Telstra seeing I have a couple of their pre-paid sim cards. They have GSM/HSPA.

The Ericsson card should work but you'll have to get it unlocked. The link to that other card didn't work.

If you can get the ericsson card unlocked, I'd go with it. The reason being is that it has a gps chip. Either should work based on the description from the lenovo website. The telestra card would be less difficult. I hope I've been helpful.

I just went through all of this with my own rig. I live in the US and I'm a Verizon customer
