    Hi,

Does anyone know how serious the current X200s WXVGA+ LED screen supply delay is?

I ordered mine on June 17th, and my estimated ship date is July 9th. They say the delay is due to a shortage of displays.

I was just wondering if there's a good chance they can make their estimated ship date... or if there's even a reasonable possibility that they may ship earlier.

    Thanks!

:) I just thought I'd ask... Maybe someone had some inside information.

At least this way I should qualify for the Windows 7 Upgrade :)

Yeah, it's weird. I know there was notice on the US website about delays for the display a short while ago, but they aren't there now.

And now I notice that it says a 4 week delay for the SL9400 processor on the Canadian site. The good news is, that I place my order before that appeared, so hopefully that wont affect me.

I'm trying to stay optimistic :)

Seems like many in the US are waiting for a potential July 4th sale. If you order with the current US coupon, and you are getting a x200s, it seems like you'd be safe to place your order now, and just cancel if the July 4th sale is better. Or, they do price match for 21 days I think. At least you can get your order in at the head of the queue.

Our July 1st (Canada Day Sale) was about the same as in earlier in June (25% off max).

I think it's very unlikely Lenovo is going to share that kind of information with anyone here. Maybe Andrew as he meets with the designers on occasion, but if he got any information he'd probably be under a NDA.

Oh, I didn't mean to suggest that I'd want someone do breach a non-disclosure. I meant "inside information" like items heard from another CSR or the like. Sorry for the confusion.

I wouldn't think subjects like a part supply issue, and when it should be resolved, would be too sensitive. But then internal information, is internal...

Like I said, I just thought I'd ask, on the off chance that someone knew, and was comfortable sharing.

    Thanks for your input though.
