    Hi,

does anybody know whether it is possible to get the X200s (with the LED backlighting and the 1440-resolution) with reasonable student discount any time soon?

How good is the display on the X200? I have seen the X200s and its display seems superior to the X300's. Has the X200 got backlight bleeding?

I tested the keyboard on the T400 and though I notice some deterioration it still feels very comfortable to me. Do you know whether I can except at least that quality on the X200? The X200s pre-production unit I tested has a worse keyboard.

Does anybody know, whether the backlight bleeding improved on the X301?

    Thanks.

Likely yes, if soon includes a month or two.
Like past education-models, the X200s should include a lot of available options (e.g. LED-backlight and 1440x900)

A month or two might be too long for me to wait (I really have to start my master's thesis soon).

I was under the expression that the student discount laptops often do not include screens with higher resolution.

Surprisingly a "FOR STUDENTS" X200s showed up here in Germany:

Much to my regret with a 64GB SSD and low resolution (1280x800) display - for enormous 1800€ (some sources rumors an included ultrabase).

The configuration is unfortunate (in particular with a 64MB SSD ^^).
