    Hey guys,

I encountered a problem with adjusting screen brightness sometimes after the laptop comes out of sleep. I can't seem to adjust brightness sometimes when the laptop comes out of sleep. If I restart, it works again. I tried changing battery profile, but the screen brightness does not change.

    Thanks

If I remember correctly, this issue was patched in a BIOS update, although I could be confusing it with some other laptop. Do you have the latest BIOS version on your X201?

Closing and opening the lid seems to fix the problem for me. My x201 is set to do nothing when I close the lid, not sure if this would apply otherwise.

I don't use sleep, but I remember having that problem on virtually every laptop I had. -.-

Was this issue ever resolved? Have you tried holding down the Fn + Home key or Fn + End keys at the same time? On my Lenovo Home lightens and End darkens screen.

Also look at your power options. 3 ways you can get to this. Lenovo's version is a Green Battery Icon in your system tray. Click it once and select "Performance" profile. Or you can just create a new profile with everything running full blast. i.e. Dispaly always bright, HD does not shut down, machine will not go into sleep etc. If you do not have Lenovo's version goto Lenovo - Laptops, Notebooks, Netbooks, Desktops, Computers, & Accessories go to download drivers area and look for Power Managers there once you allow "install activeX" from Lenovo website to automactially look into your machine to install correct outdated drivers.

Or there may be a white "battery" icon in your system tray that would do the same thing but thats the built in Windows power manager. You can get to this from the Control Panel if its not in your system tray. From there you can check it to always display icon in system tray.

BTW my very first post here. :D
