If the SuperBright Outdoor WXGA screen is not touchscreen (though if it is, please correct me), why get it on a TABLET? What good is it in tablet mode at that point?
Am I missing something?

You can still use the pen. You sacrifice finger-touch for outdoor viewing/penning along with more vivid colors and improved viewing angles. Some people really do not like like finger prints on their screen and see little value in a finger-touch interface.
Since I plan to use my tablet a lot for document viewing, I'll go with multi-touch so I can scroll pages with my finger rather than a pen. -
Yea ... it's a deal killer for me. I though I had found the perfect field notebook.
