    Hello, everyone.

I have been a happy Thinkpad user for 1.5 years now.
I love my X201 except one thing, the noise.
Laptops I had owned were quieter (of course, much hotter though).
It was not a high pitched fan noise, but I could always hear "whoosh" of air moving.

About a week ago, I updated my X201 since a bunch of updates appeared on Thinkvantage System Update including 1.39 BIOS and Intel Graphics Driver.
Then I noticed that the laptop has become noticeably quieter.

tpfancontrol with BIOS mode reports 47C CPU with 3550RPM when the machine is on idle, lid closed and docked (room temperature is 28C).
The problem is that I don't remember the original fan speed.
I just vaguely remember it was around 3800RPM, but I could be wrong.

    Has anyone noticed this?
